Born in the Northern Beaches, Sydney, Joseph was surrounded by creatives from an early age, influenced and mentored by his two aunts, a top Australian model and a creative producer/agent for some of Australia's greatest photographic talents, Joseph learnt from a young age the power of an image.
After graduating from the revered National Art School, Darlinghurst, majoring in photography and assisting some of Australia's best in a wide field from advertising to fashion, Joseph moved to Paris.
Assisting top fashion photographers including Ellen von Unwerth, Joseph went on to collaborate with Suzanne Koller and Claire Thomson Jonville at Self Service and Vogue magazines and build a loyal following of clients including Dior makeup, Louis Vuitton, Le Bon Marché and Stella McCartney among other luxury brands who commission both his still life and fashion photography.
Joseph's technical ease, use of light and Australian open-ness sets him apart.
Joseph currently lives in Paris.
